We gathered the best ideas Easter eggs decorating for everyone
One of the most fun Easter family activities is dying Easter eggs. We have gathered 25 different techniques of dying Easter eggs, ranging from simple ballpoint pen doodled eggs to more elaborate ones, like dyed robin eggs. Now it’s your turn! See what materials you have on hand, and kick off your Easter eggs dying party!
Now, for the egg part, we recommend using hard boiled eggs with techniques which include natural or edible colors like food color solutions or dyes made by boiling vegetables like red cabbage or onion skins. These eggs will be safe to eat afterward.
If you decide to go for a technique that uses craft paints, markers, ballpoint pens and similar, those eggs won’t be safe for eating. In most cases real eggs are not replaceable with faux eggs because of real egg’s porous and slightly rough surface that easily absorbs color. In that case, we recommend using emptied real eggs, which will also last way beyond Easter, and you can reuse them in arrangements and decorations year round.
Blowing Out Eggs
To get empty egg shells without having to break the eggs and glue pieces back together, you need to blow out its content. To do that, take a raw egg and a bigger needle or a pin, poke a hole on top and bottom of an egg. While holding a finger on the bottom hole, swirl the needle around in the egg to mix egg white and yolk together. This way, they will come out more easily. Use a straw or a syringe to blow directly in one hole taking whole egg contents out. Rinse the egg, let it dry, and you are ready for the Easter eggs dying adventure!
